...and you will know me by the trail of meta.

The Blogosphere Jumps the Shark

This was going to be about dolphins again, but I am going with sharks this time.

Because that is what you have all become.

I once worked for a paparazzi agency, it was one of the few gigs in NYC post-9-11. Times were tough, but that is the most amusing job I ever had. Post-modern Ishmeals after their white whale celebrity destroying pictures. It was all about the shoot, the money shot.

Sleek like sharks, the great ones were, those who sold covers back in the days of magazines. Their victims never saw them coming, and for the most part, or leaving. One white whale was never enough though, they were always convinced there were larger and more massive adversaries buried deep in the seas of meta.

Hillary's call for the assassination is your Moby Dick off the right bow.

This is utterly ridicilus on so many levels.

Look, I do not like Hillary Clinton, never will. But she did not parse out a meme calling for the murder of Barack Obama. Have you all lost your collective minds?

She badly phrased a historical fact at a backwaters newspaper editorial board meeting. Do you think that deep down in Hillary's heart, which leads a loose tongue, wants to see Barack Obama die in his prime?

The reason I think she said RFK is because Obama reminds her of him.

Relative association and what not.

And on top of that, she said something dumb for seven seconds in a 30 minute discussion over mind numbing policy wonking and wanking.

This is the first stupid thing she has said in about two months under my count. And this was just a poorly stated fact.

It's not like they were at a debate and she said that staring at him, through him. Then made her fingers into a pistol and winked at him.

I mean come on. Nobody is perfect and I think I see a lot of people shooting harpoons at a whale that is just not there.

She can be dumb, nobody is perfect. And to be perfect for weeks at a time is near impossible, and the candidates have to do it months and months at a time without saying one thing that the sharks of the blogosphere might turn into chum.

That's a pretty good streak, you try it.

Floating in a sea of blogging sharks, hoping to get that gotcha, that meta to destroy a politician. The meta shoot.

At least the paparazzis got paid.

Oppo Left Will Drink McCain's Milkshake.

* Warning, written from a far left socialist POV, Democrats will be spanked as well. *

One of the aspects of politics that whips Progressives and faux L liberals every time is how rough and tumble it is. Funnier more is how the candidates from Democratic Party seem unable to defend against even the most basic of oppo strikes.

Remember Al Gore and the internet? Instead of replying, "I made it happen, ask Bush about his oil company," Gore made on of the longest, drabbling remark about how institutional research and development happened. While technically correct, the American people for the most part ain't to smart. To them, it sound like a long denial denial.

Of course this all stated with Atwater and the Dukakus tank moment, but jesus Democrats, that was in the freaking 1980s. We have people voting this year who were not even alive then, yet you are still falling for the same tricks.

While the swift boating of John Kerry gets most of the credit for making Bush Redux happen, the framing of the windsurfing was way more devastating. And it is only the huge blind spot of what exactly is and how it works that keeps Demotards from seeing oppo.

Then again, Mark Penn didn't even know primaries weren't winner take all, and dude's like that run these campaigns. Though he looks like Rove himself when compared to such losers as Bob Shrum.

I had some hope this year that the Democrats had some oppo game. Just look what "Roger Stone"s for Hillary did to Barack Obama this year. Since Hillary got roundly rejected on the issues on Super Tuesday, she made a deal with the devil and turned into a character smear fest.

Sadly, Obama didn't play as well, which makes me suspect his ability to counter-oppo. One good thing about Hillary going dark Republican oppo on Obama is oppo goes steal fast. All the cards Republican oppos were hoping to play in October on Obama were played this spring by Hillary.

In Hillary's quest to destroy Obama, she actually inoculated him.

Like an oppo flu shot.

Unless Obama gets caught in bed with a dead typical white girl or a belle of the ball Castro boy, I don't see how he can be "destroyed."

Anyone stupid enough to think he is a "secret Muslim" after the Reverend Wright fiasco is never going vote against Rush or Savage's wishes. And they would have never voted for Obama anyways because that  notion of "secret Muslim" is actually code for "Black people shouldn't be President."

But again, luckily all this oppo happened in the spring. American's can remember what happened last week and by fall this will be forgotten or heard to be called "old news."

Which is why the forces converging on McCain from the left have an unspoken agreement to spring the traps starting on October 1. Doing so now would be pointless, especially since the MSM is extending the Democratic Primary to cash in on more campaign media buys. That race was over in March, the rest was just corporate media dipping in the gravy.

So what kind of oppo is coming?

It will be funny and it will be painful, and McCain will regret ever running again. His time was in 2000, until he got blacked babied.

I mean even hacks of the progressive sphere are getting in the act:

This is the man Hillary supporters thinks can destroy Obama? I mean, come on, wait until you see the McCain's Trail of Tears cartoon.

Wait until McKane, a porno with a McCain look-a-like in every concievable fetish.

That's gonna make this flip flop video look lame:

Or this beauty of It's the Ecomony Stupid, Stupid:

"I wish interest rates were zero."

Ha! Who is scared of this old senile dude? Especially sad being owned by a Mittens supporter. But it's always fun to see what oppo salvos the Republicans fire at each other.

See, the thing about McCain is he doesn't understand how the world works now, especially the Internetz.

Every thing you say now is a matter of record:

What till the remixes of this shit:

Or this:

McCain in the drainage:

And why does McCain hate POWs?

Wait till October.

Think he is angry now, just wait.

And stop worry, oppo from the left is coming.

And we will drink McCain's milkshake.

(Updated) I demand better propaganda from Hillary Clinton.

Okay, one of the last peanuts from the Socialist gallery before I move on, but I demand better propaganda from the Hillary Clinton campaign. I mean, she has some of the best oppo and image masters in the business, and this is what she produces?

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/video/182. aspx

Let watch this on YouTube, shall we?

Now let's stop it at :07 with the headline of Obama attacks Hillary's Gax Tax Plan. I decided to check out the byline because I actually wanted to read the article.

Are you freaking serious? Not only is it a fake headline, but you plug it above an old story about Trooper-Gate? Are you for reals?

I mean, wow, just wow. Not only have did her propagandist insert a fake headline into the media piece, they placed it over on of the most comical Clinton scandals on the books. Trooper-Gate!

That is why I am demanding better propaganda from the Hillary Clinton Campaign, this is unacceptable and will not do in the General if you win the ticket.

(Hat tip to berni_mccoy who hit the tubes with it before I could.)

Update: The keen eyes of GFORD shows I got the wrong Trooper-Gate. This scandal is from Spitzer, not Bill. Check the third column, he is correct, they are talking about Manhattan lawyers and such, which has no bearings on the Arkansas faux story. Still, bad bad propaganda.

More than 200 fallen US Soldiers cremated at Friends Forever Pet Cremation Service

So this off topic from my Pentagon dump, but is a pretty wild story in of itself. It seems in a cost cutting measure, US soldiers are being cremated at a facility meant for pets.

As the Friends Forver Pet Cremation Service says at their website:
http://www.foreverfriendspets.com/

As pet owners ourselves, we understand the need for a more dignified alternative when a beloved pet passes away.

If this wasn't screwed up enough, Bush and the Pentagon viewing our soldiers as pets, they also sent friends and families to the pet crematorium for services!

This whole fiasco came to light when an Army officer who works at the Pentagon traveled to Delaware on Thursday to attend the cremation of a military comrade.

Here is what the Washington Post had to say:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/con tent/article/2008/05/09/AR2008050902334_ pf.html

Pentagon officials said they do not think that human remains and animal remains were ever commingled at the facility. "We have absolutely no evidence whatsoever at this point that any human remains were at all ever mistreated," Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said at a news conference hastily convened last night.

Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates found "the site and signage insensitive and entirely inappropriate for the dignified treatment of our fallen," Morrell said. "The families of the fallen have the secretary's deepest apology," he said.

Lt. Gen. Frank G. Klotz, director of the Air Force Staff, said he does not know whether any military officer had ever inspected the contracted crematories. "That is something which we need to take a look at," he said.

You see, that is something you look at before our soldiers are cremated in the puppy's last bed. I mean, how could the Army be this callious and dumb?

"Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy." - Henry Kissenger

Oh yeah, Kissenger is still consulting the White House and running the show with his puppet master strings. Should have known.

Here is the worst case scenerio for the fate of some of our fallen heroes at Friends Forever Pet Cremation Service:

Group - your pet is cremated with other pets, and the cremains are not returnable.

Seriously.

Round One Finds in the Pentagon FOI Document Dump

Feel free to spread this far and wide.

Hat tip to plasticseapolluter

http://www.dod.mil/pubs/foi/milanalysts/

So I've been going through the Pentagon Document dump. I have to give it to the Defense Department, they know how to bury stuff. Of course none of this is indexable, being jpgs contained in PDF. Luckily there are orc sorters and what I have found is that a certain obscure PDF has a lot of chunky goodness in it.

Well, not goodness, maybe that last chunk of evil from Time Bandits.

Anywho, I found some interesting items I would like to share.

First off, the money shot. I know you are asking, did you find names? Do you know who the list of pundists were on the Pentagon? Yes, and I can do you one better.

I found the roster buried in a 500 page PDF.

Here are your Pentagon All-Stars:

Good lord, where did I find this copy? See, the key to document dumps is to know they are gonna try and hide the most damning tidbits in off-path places. You will never find anything out of protocol in the Generals or their staff's documents. They know this game and would never be foolish enough to have their stamp below anything incriminating.

That's what low level employee's are for. That' why when I saw the Tara Jones email docs, I knew I had my huckleberry. Jones is just another Goodling, working for the Pentagon instead of the DOJ. I figured she was either to green to filter her communications properly, or was being set up as the scapegoat.

Either way, her doc dump has proven to be the most fruitful so far. So let's take a look at the propaganda that Jones was peddling:

Oh okay. Now in this document there is a list of talking points and rebuttals. This is from that section, as are the following images.

Now in the first question here, the Administration, or at least the Pentagon, is fully admitting that following the Constitution on American soil would be a "legal complication." It shows that what they were doing they knew was not within the rules and guidelines of the law of the land.

What risks are being weighed here? Why would a change in their legal status affect the concept of justice? Isn't that a universal concept? How is justice place dependent?

It's a rather striking departure from generations of American legal tradition.

The second question is even more quizzical. Presidential Reason to Believe? No longer required? So what, even if Bush doesn't believe they are guilty, he can still hold these kangaroo courts?

This is a can of worms legal scholars need to get on stat, it makes no sense.

Of course, neither does this:

No that is incorrect, we are still bound by the Geneva Convention, Bush just unsigned the USA being a party to the ICC.  While breaking the Geneva Convention is a war crime, the USA or its personal is not liable to the ICC. It is still a war crime, Bush just moved the goal posts by redefining the "principles".

See what Bush has done with Yoo is created a new standard on what are Human Rights and what is Torture. By their new standards, they did not torture or violate basic rights. So they can go up and say, "We do not torture."

But that is by their definition, not the Geneva Convention. This distinction is very important heading into 2009, when this should finally be sorted out by a legitimate Department of Justice.

Speaking or the rule of law:

Oh stay classy Bush and the Pentagon! Well-established offenses? LIke the innocent journalist you tortured for six years? Or that kid you have had lockup since he was 13 for throwing a grenade, which is more than likely from friendly fire?

There is a long list of detainees who "well-established offenses" are open to debate. Yes, there are a couple real bastards in there, but the concept of due process would sort out the innocent. We are denying them this.

Now so you know, the ex post facto law means changing the legal consequences for an act after the transgression has happened. We are protected by Article I, section 9 of the U.S. Constitution and in state law by section 10.

What makes this sad is that it is ex post facto, because before they would have been tried liked the Blind Cleric after the 1993 WTC bombings. Now they are being tortured in secret renditions.

I think that is a severe change in legal consequences, but that is just me.

There are pages and pages of these talking points for the paid military propagandists. I just picked a few that really irked me.

And I thought I would end with this round of the review with a random slide that fills these documents.

4th Generation Warfare! Weeeee!

These reads like a paranoid Alex Jones caller's worst nightmare.

Actors! Nonlinear battlefields! Psychological warfare!!

To bad the war is on the American people, and not our true enemies.

A snap shot in time | Bush's Control Panel December 31, 2003

So wow, I found the Presidential Scorecards on the White House site.

Check it out:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/results/agenda /scorecard.html

Most of the recent ones are in PDF format, but offer a fun to read and quite colorful system that quickly summerizes Bush's agenda and results.

I looked at them over the years. As the implementation of the agenda went to green, the state of that sector would change to yellow, then sadly to red.

There is a lot of red in 2008.

But December 31, 2003 was a watermark time, when Bush thought the control panel said it was ready for empire.

So let's take a look at this web friendly score card:
http://www.whitehouse.gov/results/agenda /scorecard04-1.html

This is classic Bush. Anyone looking at this scorecard would say things are going swell. The only thing Bush seems good at is implementing his agenda. That's all green and yellow, for the most part.

But the engine light is on.

This is when No Child Left Behind went down. Look at financial management for Education. Boy did we reap the awards from that pork.

Funny how financial management of Defense can be green in implementation, yet glowing red in Current Status. Obviously what you are doing is not working. Of course, Bush would keep doing this for another six years.

Human capital as a red in Agriculture is correct, since years of outrageous agribusiness policy and greed have driven the family farmer off the land. Reaping what they sow once again.

Oh, financial management in red for Commerce is priceless. I thought the Republicans were the business party. They can't even get this right? Reagan is crying.

Someone fudge the colors on Energy.

In fact, the financial management of key sectors are all in red. Homeland Security, Justice, VA, Corps of Engineers (Think Katrina), and even the freaking Treasury.

The Treasury shares the joy of being in all red, like HUD, AID and the Smithsonian.

The funniest thing on this page is Justice.

Check that out. In the implementation section it is all green, yet Justice is all red with a single yellow in competitive sourcing. I guess they got the Republican Party involved in that sourcing.

While most executives would say, maybe, just maybe, my policy is wrong, Bush went on to destroy the Justice Department as we know it. It will take years to rebuild the trust of the American people.

I am happy about the NASA colors, but I know that is a lie.

The next page is sad.

It's the summary page.

There is not a single sector of the American machine that is in green status. Just a field of red and yellow.

And again, Implementation is at green with a sprinkle of yellow. His policies are in place, and obviously not working.

How in the world did he think we could pull off a long extended war when all the sectors were in sub prime status?

I mean, if you plan on ruling the world you have to be a well oiled machine. We didn't even have a single sector in optimal condition.

Not a single one. In 2003.

Bush would fight the war for five more years.

This scorecard is proof they knew how screwed up an extended occupation would be to all parts of American society, but occupy they would.

But at least we know they knew, ties it all together like a rug in a room.

Setting the Record Straight on the 2nd Amendment

So we are still in the silly season. Have you seen the left-handed German rifle yet? Yes, some designer should be spanked. So I decided, why not look into the actual record of the Senators in question to see where they really stood on gun control.

See, I am for guns, love them actually. Though I only own rifles, because rarely does a deer pull a concealed handgun on me in the forest, even in Texas. My family has always stocked piled some ammo and various guns, you know, just in case.

One such case is if the guano hits the fan. This is the exact time that militias of citizens should raise up until our government comes in for command and control. Say during a natural diaster, lord knows it's gonna take FEMA a few days to get there.

And even then we know how those jokers operate.

So I'd say during a national emergency is the exact time that the 2nd amendment would come into full effect.

So I decided to check on the last test of the 2nd Amendment, thee right of militias to bear arms, was up in the Senate.

Found it!

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/ro ll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?con gress=109&session=2&vote=00202

Statement of Purpose:     To prohibit the confiscation of a firearm during an emergency or major disaster if the possession of such firearm is not prohibited under Federal or State law.

Clinton (D-NY), Nay
Obama (D-IL), Yea

Oh wowz! So Obama is actually defending the right to bear arms, while Clinton is against it.

It's in the record books, and no amount of flyers and mailouts can change that.

Clinton better stick to her other guns, you know, image over record, otherwise people might find her untrustworthy.

And that pretty much sets the record straight on the 2nd Amendment, thank you Hall of Records!

So Kantor, Stephanapoulos and Carville are standing in a room...

This is why you never play gotcha in the age of YouTube. This is not a slam on Hillary, she is obviously not in the room and I know how politicos are. Hell, I live the real world and know how bullpens are, but I also know about cameras.

Ever since the heir-apparent to the Republican nomination, George Allen, got macacaed in Virgina, you would think every politician and their surrogates would be on high alert for cameras. See, virtual pundits, say like bloggers, are nothing more than political paparazzis for the new era of campaign coverage. It's very TMZish.

So here we have Kantor, Stephanapoulos and Carville going over the polling details for Indiana:

Uh Kantor, there's a freaking camera right in your face. You can't say sorry afterwards, because there's this thing called editing. They will just edit:

Indiana People are shit.

And loop it:

Indiana People are shit.

Indiana People are shit.

Indiana People are shit.

Maybe add some slightly appropriate music and you got the next big YouTube masterpiece. More people get their "news" from YouTube these days than newspapers and tv combined. If you think I am kidding, step out of the blogosphere bubble and ask around.

Going into the general, whoever wins this crazy thing, should have an all hands on deck meeting and explain that whatever you say can instantly be seen by the masses.

There will be no MSM filter or framing, it will be raw and right there in front of GOd and everybody.

Kantor is a freaking moran, especially for such a high ranking campaign officer.

So Hillary, if you are listening, remind your people that YouTube is the voice of the rabble, and if speak ill of them, they will post it.

Over and over and over again.
